NUS supports Walk for Harmony, Sunday 12 July
Friday, 03 July 2009

On Sunday 12 July, Premier John Brumby will lead a Walk for Harmony to reaffirm to the world Victoria’s strong support for multiculturalism.

Bring your family and friends and join us to show your support for our State’s cultural diversity!

Successive waves of immigrants and refugees have made our state a better place.  Victoria’s commitment to multiculturalism has been an example to the world.

Now is the time to reaffirm to a national and international audience that our commitment to multiculturalism is stronger than ever and that the Victorian community values the contributions that people from around the world have made to our state.

The Walk for Harmony will begin at Carlton Gardens at 1:00pm on Sunday July 12 and will proceed along La Trobe Street to Swanston Street and continue on to Federation Square.  Details of the Walk are posted at www.culturaldiversity.vic.gov.au or see the attached flyer (link below).

You can also get involved as a volunteer on the day!  Check out the website for details.

Come along on Sunday 12 July and do your bit to show your support for multiculturalism in Victoria.

We hope to see you there.
